The GeoThermal/GeoEnergy course of study aims to provide state-of-the-art academic education and a link to occupational practice.

A first meeting between operators of geothermal plants in the Greater Munich area and the students of the joint degree master course GeoThermal/GeoEnergy took place on March 3, 2020 at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

After being welcomed and introduced by Prof. Drews (TUM), Dr. Zoßeder (TUM), Dr. Keim (TUM) and Mr. Geisinger as chairman of the operators of geothermal plants, Prof. Stollhofen (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg) briefly presented the goals and contents of the master’s course and the first generation of successful graduates were honoured with a book award.

Thereupon the individual operators introduced themselves and a “speed-dating” took place in intervals of five minutes. The students were thus given the opportunity to make as many contacts as possible for internships, project work or even a career start.

This successful meeting could become a tradition.
